John W. Conroy,  Q.C., is a barrister and solicitor with his own firm of Conroy and Company in the greater Vancouver area. He was the Chairman of a Standing Committee on Imprisonment and Release of the National Criminal Justice Section of the Canadian Bar Association from 1986 – 1999. Mr. Conroy was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1996. Mr. Conroy is a member of the Board of the International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law.  He was awarded the Ed McIsaac Human Rights in Corrections Award for 2015.
