Dr. Edward Hoseah

Dr. Edward G. Hoseah is the Director General of the Prevention of and Combatting of Corruption Bureau from 2006, having served as a  Director, from 1995 to 2006.  He worked as a Resident Magistrate from 1986 to 1990.  In 1990, he worked as Chief of Training Research and Statistics with the Tanzanian Judiciary until September 1990 when he was appointed Legal Secretary to the Chief Justice, a position he held until 1994.  He served as Registrar, High Court Zone, 1994-95.   He is also a Lecturer in Law at the Centre for Foreign Relations and the Open University of Tanzania.   Mr. Hoseah was granted his LL.B. from the University of Dar-Es-Salaam, 1985. From 1988-89, He did his post-graduate studies in law at Queen's University, Ontario, Canada where he received his LL.M., 1989.  He holds his PhD (Law), University of Dar-Es-Salaam, 2007.  He is an Advocate of the High Court and Courts Surbordinates.  He was a Visiting Scholar, Northwestern Law School, Chicago, and was a Part Time Lecturer in Law, University of Dar Es Salaam (Law of Evidence, and Legal Practice).  He serves as  Chairperson, Training Committee, Southern Africa Forum Against Corruption.
